Almost two thirds of Sutton households owned their home in 2021 (64.4 per cent). Oven cleaning in Sutton starts at £77 for a single, worked by hand in your kitchen.
The visit, from arrival to the first meal
The cleaner starts by checking that the oven is off and cool, then works through it in this order:
- The racks, trays and shelf supports come out and are soaked.
- The cavity is cleaned by hand: the roof, the sides, the floor and the back.
- The door glass and the seals are cleaned by hand, and the inner door glass too where the door design lets it come apart.
- The soaked parts are cleaned and put back.
The cavity, glass and seals are all cleaned by hand in your kitchen. The oven is usable the same evening, and a window open for a while clears any smell.
To get ready, switch the oven off well before the visit, clear the worktop beside it and empty the drawer underneath if it has one. The electricity and water stay on.
A single oven compared with a double
A double oven has two cavities and two doors, each with its own glass and seals, so it is priced at £110 against £77 for a single. A single wide is £114, and a 90cm range £143.
Width and doors tell the types apart. A single is the standard oven about 60cm wide with one door; a double fits two cavities into the same 60cm frame. A single wide has one large cavity about 90cm across behind one door, while a 90cm range is a freestanding cooker with a hob on top and two or more compartments below. A range wider than 90cm is priced when we ring back. If you are not sure which you have, measure the front and count the doors before you send the form.
Oven cleaning prices in Sutton
Single £77, double £110, single wide £114, 90cm range £143. A ceramic hob adds £23, a gas hob £28, a range hob or a range hood £48 and an extractor £28. One-off work starts at £67, so a hob on its own costs more than it does alongside the oven. The price list covers every service.
If there is no free parking outside, the day’s cost of a bay is added, capped at £40.

Kitchens in Sutton’s houses and flats
In Sutton North, one of the four town wards, 70.4 per cent of households are owner-occupiers, and across the borough houses outnumber flats. For most households here there is no tenancy deadline, so the oven can be booked whenever the glass has gone brown and the racks are sticky.
Renters can use the move-out route. A tenant leaving at the end of a let can add the oven to an end of tenancy clean in Sutton at £31 for a single, which is less than the £77 it costs on its own.
Shared kitchens under Sutton’s HMO licensing
Sutton licenses houses in multiple occupation everywhere. Alongside the national mandatory licence, its borough-wide Additional Licensing Scheme is now fully live, the council says, so an HMO below the five-person threshold needs a licence too. In a shared house one oven is used by every household in it, and the landlord can book it between tenancies or whenever the kitchen needs it.
Visitor hours for the cleaner’s vehicle
Each household inside a Sutton CPZ gets 50 free visitor voucher hours a year, and unused hours expire after 12 months. More can be bought in blocks of 50 or 100 hours. From 1 October 2026 the vouchers are virtual and managed in an online account, so a resident can set up the cleaner’s hours from home once the day is agreed. A street outside the council’s controlled zones has no visitor hours to arrange at all, so tell us which applies when we ring back.
Booking an oven clean
Send the form or ring 020 3734 1438, saying whether the oven is a single, a double or a range. We ring back to agree a day and confirm the price against your kitchen. A 50% deposit holds the slot, and the rest is due when the oven is done. Our hours are 8am to 7pm every day. How the sizes are measured is on the oven cleaning page.

Questions about oven cleaning in Sutton
When can I cook again?
On the same evening. Once the parts are back in, the oven is ready; leave a window open for a while and any smell clears.
Does the oven need to be cool when the cleaner arrives?
Yes. Switch it off in good time, ideally a couple of hours before, so the cleaner can start on the cavity straight away.
Can the hob and extractor be done on the same visit?
Yes. A ceramic hob is £23, a gas hob £28 and an extractor £28, each added to the oven price; booked without the oven, they would reach the £67 minimum.
Is the inner door glass cleaned?
Yes, if the door design lets it come apart. A sealed door has its reachable glass cleaned by hand.
Can the cleaner use our visitor hours?
Yes, if you live in a controlled zone. From 1 October 2026 the hours are virtual, so you can book them online for the cleaner’s vehicle before the visit.
Can a landlord book the oven in a shared house?
Yes. Send the form with the address and the oven type, and we ring the landlord back to agree a day that suits the tenants.
Ring 020 3734 1438 and tell us whether it is a single, a double or a range.
