Saffron Square’s 43-storey tower stands between East and West Croydon stations, and Fairfield, the town centre ward, is 85.9% flats. Oven cleaning in Croydon is £77 for a single oven.

Doubles, single wide ovens and 90cm ranges each have their own fixed price, and so do hobs and extractors. The table below sets them side by side.

Single oven, gas hob£77£77 + £28
Single wide oven£114add £23 for ceramic or £28 for gas

An extractor is £28 on top of any of these, and one-off work starts at £67. Nothing in the table changes with the size of the home. A single oven in a Fairfield studio costs the same £77 as one in Old Coulsdon, where 32.6% of households live in detached houses.

The price list repeats the figures with every other service. When the street outside has no free parking, the day’s parking cost is added to the bill, up to £40.

Croydon kitchens: towers, shared houses and family homes

Flats make up 39.8% of Croydon households, 29.0% in purpose-built blocks, and the centre is where they concentrate. Fairfield, the town centre ward, is 85.9% flats, and 57.9% of its households rent privately. Saffron Square, by Berkeley Homes, has a 43-storey purple-clad tower and five podium blocks around a plaza beside the tram and bus routes on Wellesley Road.

Shared houses are now licensed everywhere in the borough. From 25 September 2026 Croydon’s additional HMO scheme covers houses lived in by three or four people from two or more households, and five or more people need a mandatory licence. In a shared house the kitchen and its oven are usually shared too, and between tenancies is the natural point for the landlord to have it cleaned.

Selective licensing started on the same day in 14 wards, for homes let to a single household, a single tenant or two sharers, with licences of up to five years. Fairfield, Selhurst, Thornton Heath and Waddon are among them.

Further south the kitchens are in houses. Semi-detached homes hold 24.7% of Croydon households, terraces 23.3% and detached houses 12.2%, and in Old Coulsdon 78.1% of households own their home. Across the borough as a whole, ownership was 54.7% in 2021, private renting 25.8% and social renting 17.9%, so the person booking may be an owner, a tenant or a landlord.

The clean itself, in your kitchen

First the racks, trays and shelf supports are lifted out and put to soak. The cleaner then works on the cavity by hand, top, back, sides and floor, before moving to the door glass and the rubber seals. On doors designed to come apart, the inner glass is removed so both panes can be cleaned; on others it stays put.

The soaked parts are cleaned and refitted, and any hob or extractor you booked is done before the cleaner leaves. The oven is usable that same evening. A window open for a while clears any smell left from the clean.

A double oven goes through the same steps for each cavity, the top one included. A 90cm range has a wider cavity to work through, and a range hob or hood is booked as a separate add-on at £48.

All of this happens in the kitchen, with the water and electricity left on. Empty the oven of anything you store inside it and leave a little room nearby for the soaking parts.

Parking and access

Croydon puts the controlled hours for each zone on large signs where the zone begins, so the sign nearest your home tells you when parking is restricted. Inside a controlled zone, a resident can apply through MyRingGo for a visitor day permit, one per household, which covers the cleaner’s car for the day.

In a tower such as Saffron Square, the loading bay and the concierge matter more than the street. Tell us about either when you book, along with the floor and whether the lift needs reserving.

Booking an oven clean in Croydon

Send the form or ring 020 3734 1438, and tell us the cooker and the hob. We ring back to agree a date between 8am and 7pm, any day of the week, and confirm the price; a 50% deposit holds the date and the balance is paid once the oven is clean.

In a tower or a large block, mention the concierge or any lift booking. The oven cleaning page for London explains what counts as a range, and cleaning services in Croydon covers the rest of the home.

Questions about oven cleaning in Croydon

Does a double oven cost twice as much as a single?

No. A double is £110 and a single £77, and the double price covers both cavities.

I let a licensed shared house. Can you clean the oven between tenancies?

Yes. Book it on its own, or as part of an end of tenancy clean in Croydon, where the oven is £31.

Will the kitchen smell afterwards?

Perhaps a little, for a short while. Open a window and it clears; the oven is fine to use that evening.

Do you need anything from me on the day?

Access to the kitchen, the water and electricity on and the oven emptied of the dishes and tins you keep in it.

Can the hob be cleaned without the oven?

Yes. On its own a hob falls under the £67 minimum for one-off work; with the oven it is just its own price on top, £23 for ceramic or £28 for gas.

Do you clean ovens in the town centre towers?

Yes, at the same prices. Let us know the floor, the concierge arrangements and any lift booking, and the visit is planned around them.

Ring 020 3734 1438 or send the form with your Croydon postcode and the type of cooker.
