Broadwater Farm alone has over 1,000 homes, and 56.8% of households in the eight Tottenham wards live in flats. We clean them, and the terraces between, weekly or fortnightly from £23 an hour.

Estates, cottage terraces and new blocks in N17 and N15

This page groups eight Haringey wards as Tottenham: Bruce Castle, Northumberland Park, Seven Sisters, South Tottenham, Tottenham Central, Tottenham Hale, West Green and White Hart Lane, with 40,642 households between them at the 2021 Census. Of those households, 39.4% lived in purpose-built blocks, 14.9% in flats inside converted houses and 28.6% in terraced houses. White Hart Lane ward turns the pattern round, with 46.1% in terraces and 26.9% in flats, while two in three households in Bruce Castle ward (66.0%) live in a flat.

The homes come from very different decades. Broadwater Farm, beside Lordship Recreation Ground, is an 18-hectare council estate of concrete blocks and towers finished in the early 1970s. Tower Gardens, which the council’s appraisal also calls the White Hart Lane Estate, was built by the London County Council at the start of the 20th century; the appraisal counts it among three seminal pre-First World War LCC cottage estates, with Arts and Crafts styling, and it is a conservation area today. Along the High Road, five more conservation areas make up the Tottenham High Road Historic Corridor: North Tottenham, Scotland Green, Bruce Grove, Tottenham Green and Seven Sisters/Page Green. At Tottenham Hale the council says hundreds of new council homes have been built or started, alongside homes for private sale, affordable housing and new rented flats.

Most people here rent. Across the eight wards 35.0% of households rent privately and 34.0% from the council or a housing association, and only 28.3% own their home. Private renting is highest in Tottenham Central ward, at 41.8%.

Tottenham cleaning prices

A weekly cleaner is £23 an hour and a fortnightly one £24, and the shortest visit is 3 hours (£69 on a weekly rota). For a deep clean you pay £26 per cleaner-hour and a single £30 for the kit the team brings, so two cleaners for three hours costs £186. Anything else one-off starts at £67, and moving-out cleans run from £156 for a studio to £425 for four bedrooms. Prices for every service sit on one price list. If there is nowhere free to park near the door, a one-off clean carries the parking cost of the day, never above £40.

The regular visit and the deep clean

A regular visit keeps the rooms you use every day in order. In the kitchen the cleaner wipes and dries the worktops, cleans the hob, splashback and sink, wipes the cupboard doors and appliance fronts and mops the floor. The toilet, basin, bath or shower, mirror and nearby tiles are cleaned in the bathroom; bedrooms and the living room are dusted and hoovered and the bins emptied. A flat on one floor fits the 3-hour minimum more easily than a two-storey terrace, which tends to need longer. Regular domestic cleaning explains how the day and the rota are set.

A deep clean reaches what a weekly visit leaves: door tops, skirting and radiators, the inside of emptied cupboards, grout, and limescale on taps and shower screens. Thames Water’s 2025 report for its Tottenham Hale supply zone gives a hardness of 245 to 291 mg/l of calcium carbonate, with a mean of 271, which Thames Water counts as hard, so expect limescale on the taps and shower glass.

Tenants leaving a let book an end of tenancy clean in Haringey; if the inventory clerk marks something we cleaned, tell us within 48 hours and we return to sort it at no charge. Carpets are cleaned by hot water extraction, from £36 a bedroom, through carpet cleaning in Haringey, and a single oven is £77 with Haringey oven cleaning.

Event days, parking zones and licensing in Tottenham

Haringey gave permission in 2016 for a 61,000-seat Tottenham Hotspur stadium on the White Hart Lane site, with 579 flats, a hotel, a club store and a public square on the wider site. When an event there is expected to draw more than 10,000 people, the council closes the northern High Road from White Hart Lane to Bromley Road about two hours before the start, then shuts more roads in phases, and residents reach their homes through permit checkpoints. In zones near the stadium, The Hale, Bruce Castle, Northumberland Park West and White Hart Lane among them, controlled hours on event days run up to 8.30pm on weekdays and 8pm at weekends. If your clean falls on a fixture date, say so when we ring back and we will plan the start time around the closures.

On ordinary days the zones differ. Bruce Castle CPZ is controlled Monday to Saturday 8am to 6.30pm at £1.60 an hour, Seven Sisters keeps the same hours at £2.60, and South Tottenham runs only 10am to noon on weekdays, also at £2.60. Haringey’s one-day permission to park permit, thirty pounds for one chosen street, lets a tradesperson or landlord use resident, permit-holder and shared-use bays; it cannot be used on event days in the three Tottenham event-day zones.

All eight wards sit inside Haringey’s selective licensing area, which runs from 17 November 2022 to 17 November 2027, and the borough-wide additional licensing of shared houses lasts until 16 June 2029. Most private lets in Tottenham therefore need a licence. The clean at the end of the tenancy is priced the same either way.

Tottenham and the rest of Haringey

Tottenham is one part of Haringey, and the borough’s moving-out, carpet and oven pages below cover every Tottenham street. Wood Green has a page of its own. A cleaner who comes by train arrives at Tottenham Hale, a zone 3 station on the Victoria line and Greater Anglia, or at Bruce Grove on the Weaver Overground line.

To book, send the form or ring 020 3734 1438 any time; between 8am and 7pm, seven days, we ring back to agree the day and confirm the price against the home. A 50% deposit holds the date, the rest is paid once the clean is finished, and the cleaner who comes is vetted and trained.

Questions about cleaning in Tottenham

Can you clean in N17 on a Tottenham Hotspur event day?

Yes, with some planning. For events expected to draw more than 10,000 people the High Road closes in phases from about two hours before the start, and the event-day parking controls run into the evening. Tell us the date when we ring and we will fit the visit around it.

Do you clean flats on Broadwater Farm and other estates?

Yes. A flat on an estate is priced like any other: by the hour for regular and deep cleans, and by the number of bedrooms when you move out.

My house is in Tower Gardens. Does the conservation area affect the clean?

No. Conservation-area rules control changes to buildings, and a clean changes nothing. If an original feature needs a particular product or should be left alone, mention it on the call.

Does my Tottenham let need a licence?

If it is a private let, yes. Every one of the eight wards is in the selective licensing area until 17 November 2027, and shared houses outside mandatory licensing come under the additional scheme until 16 June 2029. The licence is between the landlord and the council.

Tell us the postcode and the date, and we will ring back to fix a time that works around the High Road.
