A man relaxing in an armchair in a Victorian terraced house with a period fireplace

Wood Green has about 2,000 planned terraced houses at Noel Park, built from around 1881 to 1913, and even more flats. A weekly cleaner costs £23 an hour; a deep clean starts at £186.

Fortnightly visits are £24 an hour, a regular visit is never shorter than 3 hours, and other one-off work starts at £67. The full price list covers every service. Where the street has no free parking, we add the parking cost on the day to a one-off clean, up to £40.

N22 flats and terraces compared

The three wards this page treats as Wood Green (Noel Park, Woodside and Bounds Green) held 15,624 households in 2021. The shares are Census figures; the hours are our rough guide for a home in ordinary condition, and we settle them with you on the call.

The wards differ. Noel Park ward is the terraced pocket, 32.8% of households in terraces and 54.1% in flats, while Woodside is 68.2% flats. A deep clean is priced by the cleaner-hour whichever row your home sits in: £26 per cleaner, with £30 added once for equipment and detergents.

Noel Park, Wood Green Common and the parking zones

Noel Park was built by the Artizans, Labourers and General Dwellings Company for skilled workers’ families. It was designated a conservation area in 1982, and an Article 4 direction of 18 February 1983 restricts changes to the front elevations, roofs and front boundaries of its houses. The council’s appraisal lists original sash windows among the estate’s defining details. A second pocket, the Wood Green Common conservation area (designated 1976), is two and three storey terraces, mostly late Victorian and Edwardian, around Avenue Gardens and the Common, lined with mature London plane trees.

Wood Green’s controlled parking hours are the longest on Haringey’s list. The Inner Zone is controlled every day from 8am to 10pm and the Outer Zone Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6.30pm, both at £4.10 an hour on street. Round the edges it eases: Woodside CPZ is weekdays 8am to 6.30pm at £2.60, Bounds Green weekdays 10am to noon at £2.60. A cleaner without a car can come by Tube to Wood Green station on the Piccadilly line (zone 3), or by one of the 121, 141, 221, 232 and 329 buses.

More than a third of households rent privately here (38.1%), rising to 42.5% in Woodside ward, and 35.3% of Noel Park households rent from the council or a housing association. Noel Park, Woodside and Bounds Green are all inside Haringey’s selective licensing area until 17 November 2027.

Wood Green is part of Haringey, and the borough’s moving-out, carpet and oven pages are linked below. Its neighbour Tottenham has a page of its own.

Regular cleaning, deep cleaning and the rest

On a regular visit the cleaner works through the kitchen (worktops, hob, sink, cupboard fronts, floor), the bathroom (toilet, basin, bath or shower, mirror, tiles, floor) and then the bedrooms and living room, dusting, hoovering and mopping, and emptying the bins before leaving. The visit day and rota are set out on the domestic cleaning page.

A deep clean adds the parts a weekly visit cannot reach: door tops and frames, skirting and radiators, window sills and the inside of the frames, the inside of emptied cupboards, grout and set-in limescale. In a Noel Park house the sills and the inside of the sash frames are worth adding to the list. Thames Water’s Haringey West zone, which supplies much of N22, averaged 263 mg/l of calcium carbonate in 2025; treat that as indicative, since some N22 streets are on other zones. All of it counts as hard water.

Moving out of a let is a fixed price, £156 for a studio to £339 for three bedrooms, through end of tenancy cleaning in Haringey. When the inventory clerk or the agent marks something we cleaned, tell us within 48 hours and we go back to put it right at no charge. Carpets are cleaned by hot water extraction from £36 a room, and ovens by hand in the kitchen from £77.

Book with the form or on 020 3734 1438, which you can ring at any time. We ring back between 8am and 7pm, seven days, to fix the date and confirm the price against your home, and a 50% deposit secures it, with the remainder paid when the work is done. All our cleaners are vetted and trained.

Questions about cleaning in Wood Green

Can a cleaner who drives park in the Wood Green Inner Zone?

Only with a permit or by paying. The Inner Zone is controlled every day until 10pm. Haringey’s one-day permission to park permit, at thirty pounds for one chosen street, covers a tradesperson in resident, permit-holder and shared-use bays and never in pay-by-phone-only bays.

Do Noel Park’s conservation rules affect a clean?

No. The Article 4 direction of 18 February 1983 limits changes to the fronts, roofs and front boundaries of the houses. Cleaning the inside of a house changes none of that.

Is my Woodside flat in the selective licensing area?

Yes. Noel Park, Woodside and Bounds Green wards are all covered until 17 November 2027, and shared houses come under the borough’s additional HMO licensing to 16 June 2029. The licence is between the landlord and the council.

Do you cover Bounds Green and the streets by Alexandra Palace?

Yes. We clean in every N22 street and across the rest of London, and the form shows the price for your postcode.

Tell us the postcode and the type of home, and we will ring back to agree the hours.
