Two-storey terraces and semis from the inter-war and early post-war years make up most homes around Hounslow West, so carpet cleaning there usually means a flight of stairs. Bedrooms are £36, the flight £41.
Every carpet is cleaned by hot water extraction, and the price is set room by room before the day.
A carpet clean from the first room to the last
The visit runs in the same order in a Hounslow semi or a Chiswick flat.
- The cleaner goes through the rooms on the booking, including stairs, landings and rugs, and notes any marks you want looked at.
- Small items come off the floor and each carpet is vacuumed.
- Marks and the worn paths from the doors are pre-treated.
- Hot water extraction: the machine sprays hot water mixed with cleaning solution deep into the pile and pulls it back out with the dirt.
- Stairs are done from the top landing down, tread and riser, so no one has to cross a wet flight.
- Rugs are cleaned where they lie, on the floorboards or the carpet beneath, and are never collected.
- The cleaner opens windows if the weather allows and tells you which rooms to keep off for now.
Drying usually takes a few hours and depends on ventilation. The extraction machine runs on your water and electricity, so leave both on.
Carpet prices in Hounslow
Each area has its own price: a bedroom £36, a living room £43, a through lounge £61 and a hallway £22. A flight of stairs is £41 and a landing £9. Rugs cost £35 up to 3 square metres and £51 above that. One-off work starts at £67, and other services are on the price list.
| Example home | On the booking | Prices that apply |

Chiswick’s period houses and the riverside
Chiswick has more flats than the borough as a whole (57.2% of households in its three wards), and 22.4% of its households live in terraced houses. Hounslow publishes conservation area appraisals for twelve parts of it, from Bedford Park, Grove Park and Old Chiswick to Strand on the Green and Turnham Green. The Chiswick cleaning page covers the district.
Bedford Park was begun in 1875 as a red brick and tile garden suburb in the Queen Anne style, and every surviving building from its first phase is listed, most at Grade II. Its original design did away with basements, so in an original house the carpets are on the ground floor, the stairs and the floors above.
Strand on the Green is a different case. Its Georgian riverside houses and later Victorian and Edwardian terraces face a Thames path that floods at spring tides. The council’s appraisal calls property flooding there rare, yet records that before the Thames Barrier it reached basements and other storeys. If a carpet in your home has ever had water through it, say so when you book.
Parking in Hounslow’s zones
Each Hounslow zone posts its hours on boards at the entry points, and its bays may be for residents, shared-use pay and display, business, loading or limited waiting. Some properties, often new builds, are not eligible for permits at all. If yours is one, mention it when we ring back.
The Ealing side of Bedford Park, from the west side of Woodstock Road westwards and including The Avenue, follows Ealing’s parking rules, and its Zone B is controlled Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.
Upholstery on the same visit
Sofas, armchairs and mattresses can be added to the carpet booking: a two-seat sofa is £57, an armchair £33 and a mattress £35. One visit then covers the lot, with a single parking arrangement. See upholstery cleaning for the fabrics and items we clean.
Arranging the carpet visit
Send the form with the rooms, flights and rugs, or ring 020 3734 1438. We call back to choose a day with you, any day from 8am to 7pm, and to confirm the price against the home. A 50% deposit holds that date and the remainder is due when the carpets are finished. Drying and stain treatment are explained on the London carpet cleaning page.

Questions about carpets in Hounslow and Chiswick
Is a listed Bedford Park house priced differently?
No. The price follows the rooms, flights and landings, so a listed house pays the same per room as any other.
How soon can we walk on the stairs?
Give them a few hours. Drying depends on ventilation, so open a landing window if you can, and use socks on a flight that is still damp.
Can the living room rug be cleaned without moving it?
Yes. Every rug is cleaned where it lies and never taken away: £35 up to 3 square metres, £51 above.
I rent one room in a shared house. Can I book just that room?
Yes. A bedroom is £36, but one-off work starts at £67, so adding the hallway or a second room makes better use of the visit.
Do you clean carpets in new-build flats?
Yes. A flat in a purpose-built block is priced by its rooms and hallway like any other home. If the block is one of those not eligible for parking permits, tell us when we ring back.
Which postcodes do you cover?
All of the borough, including TW3, TW4, TW5, TW7, TW8 and W4, at the same prices.
Ring 020 3734 1438 with the rooms, stairs and rugs you want cleaned.
