A woman holding a fresh loaf in a bright kitchen with a clean built-in oven behind her

Rainham and Beam Park, in the south of Havering, is a Housing Zone planned for 3,500 new homes. Oven cleaning in Havering, in those new kitchens or older ones in Hornchurch, starts at £77.

The oven clean, start to finish

When the cleaner arrives, the oven should be cold and the worktop beside it clear. The racks, trays and shelf supports come out first and are put to soak. While they soak, the cavity, the door glass and the seals are cleaned by hand, here in your kitchen, from the roof of the oven down to its floor.

The inner pane of the door glass is cleaned only where the door’s design lets it come apart. Then the soaked parts are rinsed, dried and fitted back, the outside of the oven and its handle are wiped, and the floor in front of it is left clean. A hob, a range hood or an extractor booked with the oven is done on the same visit.

The oven is usable the same evening. Leave a window open for a while and any smell clears. Keep the electricity and the water on for the visit.

Havering oven prices

Ovens are priced by type: £77 for a single, £110 for a double, £114 for a single wide oven and £143 for a 90cm range. Hobs cost £23 (ceramic) or £28 (gas), a range hob or hood £48, and an extractor £28. Anything one-off starts at £67. Every price is on the price list.

When the nearest bay is paid, the parking for the visit goes on the bill at its real cost, never more than £40.

An oven on its own compared with an oven at move-out

Booked on its own, a single oven is £77. Added to an end of tenancy clean in Havering it is £31, and a double or range £62, because the team is already in the kitchen for the day. The oven gets the same clean either way. Private renting is 15.8% of Havering households and 35.0% in St Alban’s, so in central Romford the move-out add-on is the price a departing tenant is likely to need.

New kitchens at Bridge Close and Beam Park

Two council schemes will add kitchens in large numbers. Bridge Close, a dated industrial area beside Romford station inside the ring road, is planned for up to 1,070 homes with a primary school, health services and a new crossing over the River Rom. The Rainham and Beam Park Housing Zone, granted in 2015, plans its 3,500 homes over 10 to 15 years on former industrial land. A new-build oven is priced by its type, like any other.

Central Romford is the borough’s flat-heavy core, with 50.8% of households in St Edward’s and 44.5% in St Alban’s living in flats. Elsewhere most kitchens are older and in houses. Semi-detached homes are 41.2% of households, terraces 24.3% and detached houses 11.1%, against 23.0% flats. Harold Hill’s homes went up between 1948 and 1958 for the London County Council, mostly as two-storey semis and short terraces.

Shared kitchens under additional licensing

From 18 March 2026 Havering licenses homes let to three or four unrelated people who share amenities, in every ward, until 17 March 2031. In a shared house the kitchen and its oven are among those shared amenities, used by every tenant. A landlord can book the oven between tenancies, or when a room is re-let, and add the hob at the same visit.

Parking on bank holidays and in permit streets

Some streets in Havering’s controlled parking zones are permit-only for residents and businesses at set hours, which are shown on signs at the entrance to the street. The council’s parking rules also apply on bank holidays unless a sign says otherwise, Christmas Day apart, so a bank holiday visit is parked for in the same way as a weekday one. Our hours are 8am to 7pm, seven days a week.

Booking an oven clean in Havering

Send the form or ring 020 3734 1438, any time, with the postcode and the oven type: single, double, single wide or range. We ring back between 8am and 7pm to agree a day and confirm the price against your kitchen. A 50% deposit secures the visit and the rest is paid once the oven is done. Add the hob or extractor when you book, and they are cleaned in the same visit.

Oven cleaning in Havering: questions

How soon can we cook again?

That evening. The racks and trays are back in before the cleaner goes, and an open window clears any smell.

Do the racks get taken away?

Never. They stay in the kitchen the whole time: soaked, cleaned and fitted back, and you can watch if you like.

Can you clean a range cooker?

Yes. A 90cm range is £143, and a range hob or hood is £48 on the same visit.

Is the glass inside the door cleaned?

Only where the design of the door allows the inner glass to come apart. Tell us the make of the oven when we ring back, so the cleaner knows what to expect.

Do I need to clean anything first?

Just let the oven cool and clear the worktop next to it. If there is a drawer under the oven, empty it.

Do you clean ovens in Upminster and Cranham?

Yes, in every Havering ward, from Upminster and Cranham to Collier Row and Rainham, at the same prices.
