Prices are fixed by the type of oven, and the full list is just below.

Kitchens in Richmond’s flats and houses
At the 2021 Census 28.2% of the borough’s households lived in purpose-built flats and 8.8% in flats carved out of converted or shared houses; the rest were mostly in terraces (26.6%), semis (25.0%) and detached houses (8.3%). In Twickenham’s four wards 41.0% of households live in flats, 26.7% in purpose-built blocks. Cambridge Park, one of the conservation areas there, sets the interwar Cambridge Park Court among Victorian and Edwardian houses. The Twickenham cleaning page covers that district.
Shared houses need a council licence once five or more people from two or more households live there, and planning permission once an HMO reaches seven or more. A landlord can book the oven between tenancies like anyone else.
The oven, step by step
Please let the oven cool completely before the cleaner arrives. Clear the hob and the worktop on either side, and empty the storage drawer if there is one; if the oven was used that morning, turn it off as early as you can.
- Racks, trays and shelf supports come out and are soaked.
- The cavity is cleaned by hand, top to bottom.
- The glass and the seals are cleaned by hand. The inner door glass is separated only where the door design lets it come apart.
- The soaked parts are rinsed, dried and refitted.
- A hob, hood or extractor on the booking comes last.
All of it happens in your kitchen. You can cook that evening, and a window open for a while clears any smell. Leave the electricity and water on for the visit. A double oven has both cavities done the same way, and on a range cooker the cleaner works through each oven in turn.
Adding the hob or extractor
Thames Water puts the hardness down to the chalky limestone its water passes through. Its scale runs from hard (200 to 300 mg/l) to very hard (above 300), and it does not say which band each area falls in. Either way, pans that boil over leave white rings on a ceramic hob. The hob can be done after the oven, at £23 for ceramic or £28 for gas, and an extractor at £28. For grease on the cupboards and tiles around the cooker, a deep clean costs £26 an hour per cleaner plus £30 for the kit, from £186.
Parking for an oven visit in Richmond Town
Richmond Town (Zone A1) is controlled Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 6.30pm, and the resident bays on Richmond Green are enforced from 8.30am to midnight every day. A resident can buy pay-as-you-go visitor sessions for the cleaner, £1.80 a session in most zones or £3.55 in Richmond Town (A1) and Richmond Hill (A2). Give us the zone when we ring back.
Homes near Twickenham Stadium have one more thing to watch. On event days with crowds of 25,000 or more the Event Zone is in force from 11am until 11pm, and roads near the ground may close for up to two hours either side, so book an early slot or another day.
Booking the Richmond oven clean
Fill in the form, or ring 020 3734 1438 at any hour, with the oven type and its width. We call back to fix a time between 8am and 7pm on any day and to confirm the price for your oven. A 50% deposit holds the slot, and the rest is due after the clean. The oven cleaning page for London explains what counts as a range.

Richmond oven questions
Do you clean ovens in Twickenham and Teddington?
Yes, across the whole borough: TW1, TW2 and TW9 to TW12, plus SW13 and SW14.
Will the kitchen smell afterwards?
Only briefly, if at all. A window open for a while clears any smell, and the oven is ready to use the same evening.
Can a landlord book the oven between tenants?
Yes, in the same way as anyone else. If the tenant is moving out, the oven can go on the end of tenancy clean instead, at £31 for a single.
What happens with a door that does not come apart?
The inner door glass is only removed where the door design lets it come apart. Otherwise the cleaner cleans the glass that can be reached without separating it.
Can you clean an oven on a Sunday in Richmond Town?
Yes, any day from 8am to 7pm. Zone A1’s controlled hours run Monday to Saturday, though the resident bays on Richmond Green are enforced every day until midnight.
Do residents over 60 pay less for parking?
For council visitor permits, yes: Richmond gives residents over 60 a 50% discount. Our oven prices are the same for everyone.
Ring 020 3734 1438 with your oven type and its width.
