Over half of Lewisham’s households live in flats (57.7% at the 2021 Census), and a weekly cleaner for a flat or a house here costs £23 an hour, with deep cleans from £186.
Fortnightly visits are £24 an hour. A regular visit lasts at least 3 hours, so the smallest weekly booking comes to £69. Deep cleans are charged by the cleaner-hour at £26; the smallest is two cleaners for three hours, plus £30 once for the equipment and detergents they bring. Any one-off job starts at £67. Where your street has no free parking, we add what parking costs on the day, never more than £40. The London price list has every service on one page.
Lewisham homes by type
Of those households, 39.1% are in purpose-built blocks and 16.3% in converted or shared houses, bedsits included. Terraced houses account for another 26.2%, semi-detached homes 13.0% and detached ones just 3.0%. Tenure is as mixed as the buildings: 41.9% of households own, 29.2% rent from the council or a housing association and 27.2% rent privately.
Much of the older housing sits in protected streets; the council lists 29 conservation areas, Brockley, Ladywell, Lee Manor and Telegraph Hill among them. A flat in a converted house usually means stairs and no lift, so tell us the floor when you book and the cleaner can plan what to carry up.
Some of the newest homes are beside the stations. Lewisham Gateway’s first phase put 193 homes in Building A and 169 in Block B where the old roundabout used to be, and phase two, still listed as under construction, adds 649 more, 119 of them co-living. A newly finished flat often needs one careful clean to lift the fine dust before a weekly rota makes sense, and the after builders clean is priced for exactly that.
A weekly clean, room by room
Unless you ask for something different, a regular domestic clean covers these rooms on every visit:
- Kitchen: worktops, the hob top, the sink and taps, cupboard fronts, the outside of the fridge and oven, the floor.
- Bathroom: bath or shower, screen, basin, toilet, tiles within reach, mirror.
- Bedrooms and living room: dusting, mirrors and glass, beds made up with the fresh linen you put out.
- Throughout: carpets hoovered, hard floors mopped, bins emptied.
The taps and the shower screen get a few minutes more than you might expect. Thames Water calls 200 to 300 mg/l of calcium carbonate hard, and its 2025 report for the Lewisham South zone, the one its lookup gives for a Ladywell postcode, ran from 224 to 262. Scale builds back on chrome and glass within days. A deep clean is the time to shift whatever the weekly visits have not kept down, along with the insides of cupboards, the skirting boards and the space behind furniture that can be moved.
- End of tenancy cleaningfrom £156A fixed price by the size of the home, with a 48-hour re-clean if the inventory clerk marks something we cleaned.

Other jobs in Lewisham homes
Tenants leaving a Lewisham flat book an end of tenancy clean, a fixed price by size from £156 for a studio to £425 for four bedrooms. If the inventory clerk or the letting agent marks anything we cleaned, let us know within 48 hours and we return to fix it at no charge.
Carpets are cleaned by hot water extraction and priced by the room, £36 for a bedroom; drying usually takes a few hours and goes faster with a window open. A single oven is £77. Racks and trays soak while the cavity, glass and seals are cleaned by hand in your kitchen, and the oven is ready to use that evening.
Clearing a mattress or a sofa first? Lewisham’s bulky item collection is £5 an item (£25 for a fridge or freezer) and the fee is kept if you cancel. The crew will not come indoors, so the item goes outside, or into an unlocked bin chamber if you live in a block.
Districts with their own pages
Two parts of the borough have pages of their own. Forest Hill is one of Lewisham’s 29 conservation areas, and Blackheath has its own controlled parking zone, BHA, in force Monday to Saturday from 9am to 7pm. Every other ward, from Brockley to Grove Park, is covered by this page and the borough’s service pages listed here.

Booking a cleaner in Lewisham
Send the form with your postcode and the size of the home, or ring us. We ring back to agree a day and check the price against the home itself; a 50% deposit holds the date and the balance is paid once the clean is finished. Opening hours are 8am to 7pm, seven days a week, and you can ring any time on 020 3734 1438. Please leave the water and electricity on.
Parking rules change from zone to zone. Lewisham Central (B1) is controlled Monday to Saturday, 9am to 7pm, while Lee Green (LG) is restricted only from 10am to noon on weekdays. In a controlled zone the council’s digital visitor vouchers are bought online and paid as you go, by the hour, the half-day (up to five hours), the day or the week. If you buy one for the visit, mention it when we ring.

Questions from Lewisham households
Do you cover every Lewisham postcode?
Yes. That means SE4, SE6, SE13, SE14 and SE23, and the Lewisham streets in districts the borough shares with its neighbours, such as SE3, SE8, SE12, SE15, SE26 and BR1. The postcode box on the form picks the right page for you.
Will limescale come back after a deep clean?
Yes, gradually. Thames Water says all the water in its region is hard, and the Ladywell sample averaged 248 mg/l in 2025. Weekly or fortnightly visits keep taps and screens clear between deep cleans, and a squeegee after each shower helps.
My flat is on the top floor of a converted house. Does that cost more?
The hourly rate is the same on any floor. Converted and shared houses hold 16.3% of Lewisham households; tell us how many flights there are and whether the hallway is shared, and we plan the visit around it.
Does Lewisham’s landlord licensing change the move-out clean?
No. Additional HMO licensing for smaller shared houses has covered the whole borough from 22 April 2022, and selective licensing for single-household lets started on 1 July 2024. Those schemes set standards for landlords; the end of tenancy price still depends only on the size of the home, from £156.
Can you clean a new flat at Lewisham Gateway before I move in?
Yes. Book a deep clean or an after builders clean for the empty flat, before the furniture arrives. The smallest deep clean, two cleaners for three hours with the equipment included, is £186.
Send the postcode and the number of rooms, and we ring back with a price for the visit.
