Surbiton’s wards, conservation areas and parking
The flat-led wards are Surbiton Hill (69.3 per cent flats) and St Mark’s and Seething Wells (71.3 per cent flats, 42.7 per cent private renting and 19.8 per cent in converted houses). Berrylands is mostly owned, 64.9 per cent owner-occupied, and 41.0 per cent of its households live in flats. Across the three wards 38.2 per cent rent privately.
St Mark’s ward holds three conservation areas recorded on planning.data.gov.uk: Surbiton Town Centre (designated on 19 June 1991 and extended in 2008), Claremont Road (1987) and St Andrew’s Square (1971). The station itself was first listed at Grade II on 6 October 1983.
Kingston’s on-street rates from 11 April 2025 put Maple Road and Claremont Road at £3 an hour and Surbiton Road and Surbiton Crescent at £3.30. The Kingston page covers visitor vouchers and the rest of the Royal Borough.
Weekly cleans and deep cleans in Surbiton
For a flat, the weekly visit is the kitchen (worktops, hob, splashback, sink, cupboard fronts and floor), the bathroom, dusting, beds and the floors, and it usually fits in three hours in a one or two-bed flat. A house is planned with you room by room on the call: the kitchen, the bathroom and the floors every visit, and the other rooms in turn if three hours will not reach them all.
Most Surbiton postcodes are in Thames Water’s Berrylands and Long Ditton zone, where 2025 samples averaged 257 mg/l as calcium carbonate (242 to 263), and about three in ten of the sampled postcodes are in Kingston South at 251. Both count as hard, so the cleaner descales taps and shower glass as part of the visit.
A deep clean adds the inside of cupboards and the fridge, skirting boards, door frames, radiators and grout, with the team’s own equipment. Leaving a rented flat? End of tenancy cleaning is priced by size as in the table, and if the inventory clerk or letting agent marks something we cleaned, tell us within 48 hours and we return to put it right at no charge. Carpets are cleaned by hot water extraction from £36 a bedroom, and ovens by hand in your kitchen from £77, usable the same evening.

Surbiton questions
Is my KT6 address in Kingston or Elmbridge?
It depends on the street. KT6 covers Kingston wards such as Surbiton Hill, St Mark’s and Seething Wells, Alexandra and Tolworth, and also Elmbridge’s Long Ditton, where Elmbridge Council’s rules apply. We clean on both sides of the line.
Does a landlord in Surbiton need a licence?
Only for a larger HMO. Kingston asks for a licence where five or more people in two or more households share facilities, and its HMO page mentions no additional or selective scheme, so most Surbiton lets need none.
Can a cleaner park on Maple Road?
In a paid bay, at £3 an hour on Kingston’s April 2025 rates. Where your zone offers visitor vouchers, a resident can buy them at 67p an hour, which usually works out cheaper for a long clean.
Does a conservation area change anything about the clean?
No permission is needed to clean a home in Surbiton Town Centre, Claremont Road or St Andrew’s Square. If the flat or house keeps original windows, tiles or fireplaces, point them out on the first visit so the cleaner knows what to treat gently.
Do you clean houses in Berrylands as well as flats?
Yes. Berrylands has more houses than the other two wards, with 41.0 per cent of its households in flats, and a house there usually needs four hours a week or a rota that takes the bedrooms in turn.
Tell us the street and the size of the flat or house, and we will ring back with a date.
