Wimbledon splits almost down the middle, with 49.1 per cent of households in flats and the rest in houses, and a weekly cleaner costs £23 an hour for either.

What changes is the time. A one-bed flat near the station is usually a three-hour visit; a detached house in the Village may need four or more, or two cleaners for a deep clean. We work the hours out with you on the phone before anything is booked.

Flats on the hill, houses in the Village

The five Wimbledon wards (Wimbledon Town and Dundonald, Hillside, Village, Abbey and Wimbledon Park) hold 22,383 households. 31.9 per cent live in purpose-built flats and 14.2 per cent in converted or shared houses; 25.9 per cent are in terraced houses, 15.4 per cent in semis and 9.6 per cent in detached houses. A third rent privately (33.9 per cent) and 56.2 per cent own.

The wards pull in different directions. Hillside, which takes in the hill and the town centre, is 66.2 per cent flats with 42.1 per cent private renting. Village ward is 66.5 per cent owner-occupied, with a quarter of households (25.5 per cent) renting privately, and Wimbledon Park is 36.8 per cent terraced.

Merton’s list of conservation areas includes seven with Wimbledon’s name: Broadway, Chase, Hill Road, North, Village, West and Windmill. The Broadway area was designated in 1985. Older windows and period details come with them, so point out anything delicate when we ring back.

Wimbledon prices

Weekly cleaning is £23 an hour and fortnightly £24, with a 3-hour minimum per visit (£69 for the shortest weekly one). Deep cleans run at £26 a cleaner-hour plus £30 for the kit, from £186 for two cleaners over three hours, and one-off jobs start at £67. For a larger house, plan on four or more hours a week, or a rota that does the bedrooms in turn. All the prices are on one price list; on streets with no free parking, the day’s parking cost is added, never above £40.

A regular visit, a deep clean and the add-ons

The weekly visit covers the kitchen surfaces, hob, sink and appliance fronts, the bathroom from the bath to the floor, dusting through the living rooms and bedrooms, beds changed if you leave linen out, and floors hoovered and mopped. Limescale is part of it. Wimbledon postcodes fall in three Thames Water zones, Merton and Wimbledon (both 262 mg/l as calcium carbonate in 2025) and Putney Heath around Wimbledon Park (252), all of them in the hard band.

A deep clean is for the build-up: inside cupboards and the fridge, door frames, radiators, skirting, grout and behind the furniture. A regular cleaner keeps it at that level afterwards.

Moving out of a rented flat is a fixed-price end of tenancy clean; if the inventory clerk or agent marks something we cleaned, tell us within 48 hours and we return at no charge to put it right. Carpets are cleaned by hot water extraction at £36 a bedroom. An oven is £77, cleaned by hand in your kitchen with the racks soaked separately.

Parking in SW19 and the Championships fortnight

Merton’s CPZ list shows 30 zone codes around Wimbledon: 15 in the town centre, 4 around Wimbledon Park and 11 in the Village. Hours differ zone by zone and the council tells drivers to read the signs. A cleaner with a car can use a Merton trade permit, a virtual permit valid in any CPZ in the borough and issued against a contract or invoice for the property (£52.50 for seven days on the council page), or you can book one of your visitor e-permits for the day.

The Championships change things for two weeks. For 2026 (29 June to 12 July) Merton banned parking from 8.30am to 11.30pm every day on red roads such as Church Road, Bathgate Road, Cannizaro Road, Parkside and High Street Wimbledon between Belvedere Grove and Church Road. Yellow and blue roads became permit-holder-only from 8.30am to 8.30pm, and bays in zones P2, VC, VN, VNe and VOn could be suspended. The page says nothing about visitor or trade permits. If you live near Church Road or in the Village, book the clean for the week before or after the tournament. The Merton page covers the rest of the borough.

Booking and the places around Wimbledon

Ring 020 3734 1438 whenever it suits you, or send the form. We call back between 8am and 7pm, seven days, to agree the day and the price, and a 50% deposit secures the date; the rest is due when the clean is done. Every cleaner is vetted and trained. Putney, Kingston and Tooting are among the pages below.

Questions from Wimbledon homes

Can I book a clean during the Championships?

Yes, though parking near the grounds is hard that fortnight. In 2026 the red roads, Church Road and Parkside among them, had no parking from 8.30am to 11.30pm, and the yellow and blue roads were for permit holders only. Away from those roads the usual zone rules apply.

Can you clean a large detached house in the Village?

Yes, with more time or more people. As a guide, a deep clean of a four-bedroom house takes two cleaners six to eight hours; three or four cleaners make it a shorter day for about the same number of cleaner-hours, so about the same price.

Do you cover the rest of SW19?

Yes. SW19 also takes in Colliers Wood, Cricket Green and Lavender Fields wards and parts of Wandsworth, and we clean across all of it. The Wandsworth parts follow that council’s parking rules, so give us the full postcode.

Which station is closest?

Wimbledon station is a fare zone 3 interchange for the District line, Thameslink, South Western Railway and the Tram.

Tell us the street and the number of bedrooms, and we will ring back to fix a date.
