Bromley is a borough of houses: semi-detached and detached homes make up 48.0% of households, and a regular cleaner for one costs £23 an hour, at least 3 hours a visit.
Semis alone are 29.9% and detached houses 18.1% at the 2021 Census, with terraces at 20.6%. Flats are 31.3%, three quarters of them in purpose-built blocks (23.5%) and most of the rest in converted houses (5.8%). Owner-occupation is 68.5%, with 33.0% of households owning outright; private renting is 17.4% and social renting 13.2%, only 1.5% of it from the council.
The council counts 47 conservation areas, and in June 2025 it adopted appraisals for Shortlands Village, Bromley Town Centre, The Covert, The Thrifts and Chislehurst Road. Beckenham has a page of its own; its BR3 postcode district crosses into Croydon and Lewisham wards as well.
Prices for Bromley houses and flats
Weekly visits are £23 an hour and fortnightly ones £24, with a 3-hour minimum that makes the shortest weekly visit £69. Deep cleans are £26 for each cleaner-hour; the smallest is two cleaners for three hours, plus £30 for equipment and detergents, which comes to £186. A detached house needs more cleaner-hours than that, and the form lets you choose up to four cleaners. One-off work of any kind starts at £67. Where no free parking is available, we charge what parking costs on the day, never over £40. Carpets, upholstery and ovens are on the full price list.
Included in a Bromley clean
On a weekly or fortnightly visit the cleaner covers the rooms in daily use. In the kitchen that means worktops, the hob, the sink and the outside of the appliances; in bathrooms, the suite, tiles, mirrors and taps; elsewhere, dusting, beds made when linen is left out, stairs and carpets hoovered, hard floors mopped. Where we can manage it, the same cleaner comes every time.
A deep clean adds what a regular visit leaves: inside the kitchen cupboards and fridge, skirting boards and door frames on every floor, radiators, behind the sofa and the beds, then the limescale. Thames Water’s 2025 report for its Bromley Town zone, the one its lookup gives for BR1 1HG, ranged from 270 to 306 mg/l and averaged 287, which is hard and tips into very hard at the top of the range.

Local rules that affect a visit
Parking in Bromley’s permit zones works by paper scratch card. A visitor voucher lasts one day and only in the zone it was bought for; residents can buy up to four books of 15 a year, and businesses with premises in a zone can buy them too. Some zones sell none at all, among them Chelsfield, Farnborough, Locksbottom, Orpington, Petts Wood and Beckenham Lane. In the town centre North (B) and South (C) zones the controls apply only from 12 noon to 2pm, Monday to Saturday, and 15 vouchers are listed at £45.
Bulky waste goes through the council’s contractor, who agrees a date within 10 working days. Items have to be out between 7am and 3.30pm at the front of the property, off the public highway, and a change made with less than 24 hours’ notice is not refunded, so book it well before a deep clean.
Landlord licensing is simple here. Bromley operates only the mandatory HMO scheme, with licences lasting five years, and has no additional or selective licensing.

Bromley questions
My zone sells no visitor vouchers. Where does the cleaner park?
Zones such as Orpington and Petts Wood sell no visitor vouchers at all, so a driveway space, if you have one, is the easiest answer. If not, we go through the street’s rules with you when we ring back.
Can you deep clean a large detached house in one day?
Usually, by sending more cleaners. The form lets you book two to four cleaners for three to eight hours, and we confirm the right size of team on the phone. Detached houses are 18.1% of Bromley homes, and a house that size needs more than the minimum booking.
Do you clean flats in Bromley town centre?
Yes. Flats are 31.3% of Bromley homes. In the town centre B and C zones, parking is controlled only from noon to 2pm, Monday to Saturday, so a visit timed outside those two hours avoids the restriction altogether.
Do you clean on the Croydon or Lewisham side of BR3?
Yes. The BR3 district takes in wards of Bromley, Croydon and Lewisham, and we clean in all of them; what changes at the borough line is the council, so the parking and bin rules follow your address. The ward-by-ward picture is on the Beckenham page.
Do you clean in Orpington and Petts Wood?
Yes, every part of the borough, BR1 to BR7, and the Bromley streets that share SE20, SE26, SE12, SE9, DA14, BR8 and TN16 with neighbouring boroughs.
