Camden is a borough of flats: 86.6% of households lived in one at the 2021 Census. We clean them weekly or fortnightly from £23 an hour, and deep clean them from £186.
A regular clean costs £23 an hour on a weekly rota or £24 an hour fortnightly. Each visit lasts at least 3 hours, so the smallest booking is £69. A deep clean is charged at £26 per cleaner-hour plus £30 for the equipment and detergents we bring, and the shortest job (two cleaners for three hours) comes to £186. Other one-off work starts at £67. The full table is on our price list. If your street has no free parking, we add what parking costs on the day, never more than £40.
Camden homes and who lives in them
Purpose-built blocks hold 56.2% of Camden households and converted or shared houses another 26.2%. Only 8.1% live in a terraced house, 3.6% in a semi and 1.7% in a detached home. So a Camden home is most often a flat, and for a one or two-bedroom flat the three-hour minimum is usually enough for a weekly visit.
Tenure splits almost evenly three ways. At the Census 35.6% of households rented privately, 33.7% rented from the council or a housing association and 29.7% owned their home, with another 0.8% in shared ownership. That mix is why this page covers regular cleaning and moving-out work side by side.
About half the borough lies inside one of Camden’s 40 conservation areas, each with its own appraisal and management strategy. The Camden Town Conservation Area, around the Underground station, was designated on 1 November 1986. Cleaning needs no permission, of course, but older buildings ask for some care: if a floor, a fireplace or a tiled hall should be left alone or cleaned a particular way, tell us when we ring back.
A regular clean in a Camden flat, room by room
On a weekly or fortnightly visit the cleaner works through the home in the same order each time:
- Kitchen: worktops, splashback, hob top, sink and taps, the fronts of cupboards and appliances, then the floor.
- Bathroom: bath or shower, screen, basin, toilet, the tiles within reach, mirror and floor.
- Bedrooms and living room: dusting, surfaces, skirting boards, hoovering and mopping, and beds changed if you leave clean linen out.
- Throughout: bins emptied, light switches and door handles wiped.
A deep clean goes further and takes longer: inside empty cupboards and drawers, limescale on taps and screens, grout, doors and frames, and behind any furniture that can be moved. People book one as a first clean before a regular rota, as a spring clean or before guests arrive. The deep cleaning page sets out the full scope, and domestic cleaning explains how a rota is arranged.
- End of tenancy cleaningfrom £156A fixed price by the size of the home, with a 48-hour re-clean if the inventory clerk marks something we cleaned.
- Deep cleaningfrom £186A team of two or more for a day of the jobs a weekly clean never reaches.
- Domestic cleaningfrom £69 a visitA weekly or fortnightly cleaner, the same person where we can manage it.
- After builders cleaningfrom £212Dust, paint spots and grout film cleared once the trades have gone.
- Carpet cleaningfrom £67Hot water extraction priced by the room, rugs cleaned where they lie.
- Upholstery cleaningfrom £67Sofas, armchairs, mattresses and curtains, priced by the piece.
- Oven cleaningfrom £67Racks and trays soaked, glass and seals cleaned by hand in your kitchen, priced by oven type.
Moving out, carpets and ovens
With more than a third of households renting privately, plenty of one-off work in Camden happens at the end of a let. End of tenancy cleaning in Camden is a fixed price by size, from £156 for a studio to £425 for four bedrooms. If the inventory clerk or letting agent marks something we cleaned, tell us within 48 hours and we return to put it right at no charge.
Landlords letting to sharers should know about Camden’s renewed additional HMO licensing, in force from 8 December 2025. It covers any property occupied by 3 or more people forming 2 or more households. A shared house that does not fit the studio to four-bedroom scale is priced by room.
Carpets and ovens can be done on the same day or on their own. Carpet cleaning across Camden uses hot water extraction and is priced by the room, £36 for a bedroom and £41 for a flight of stairs; drying usually takes a few hours, depending on ventilation. For oven cleaning in Camden, racks and trays come out to soak while the cavity, glass and seals are cleaned by hand in your kitchen, from £77 for a single oven, and you can cook with it the same evening.
Bloomsbury to Hampstead: parking and clear-outs
Camden runs from Bloomsbury and Holborn (WC1 and WC2) in the south to NW1, NW3, NW5 and NW6 in the north, with Camden Town Underground station (Northern line, zone 2) inside the Camden Town Conservation Area. Three of its districts have pages of their own: Hampstead, Kentish Town and West Hampstead.
Controlled parking zones cover large areas of the borough. Each is coded CA- plus a letter and keeps its own days and hours, while estates and private land follow separate rules, so the signs on your street decide. Camden’s own route for builders and other service providers is its trade permit, valid in resident bays and on single yellow lines in the zone of your address; visitor permits are sold to residents for their own visitors. Tell us your zone on the call and we work the parking out from there.
Clearing out before a deep clean? The council’s bulky waste collection costs £25 for 1 to 5 items or up to 20 black bags, £50 for 6 to 10 items and £75 for 11 to 15, picked up from street level Monday to Friday.

Questions about cleaning in Camden
Do you cover Bloomsbury and Holborn as well as north Camden?
Yes. We clean across all of Camden’s postcodes, NW1, NW3, NW5 and NW6 in the north and WC1 and WC2 in the south, and the booking form shows the price for your exact postcode.
How does parking work for a clean in Camden?
Camden sends traders and service providers to its trade permit, issued for 1 to 40 days and valid in resident bays and on single yellow lines in your zone, but never in paid bays, on red routes or on estates. Resident visitor permits are electronic and aimed at personal visitors.
I let a flat to three sharers in Camden. Does HMO licensing change the clean?
The licence is a matter between you and the council. Camden’s additional scheme covers 3 or more people in 2 or more households, and it reaches flats in purpose-built blocks of 3 or more flats too, which are exempt from mandatory licensing. The clean itself is priced by the size of the flat or by room, as for any other let.
Do Camden’s conservation areas affect cleaning?
Not the cleaning itself. Camden’s 40 conservation areas cover about half the borough and control alterations to buildings, so they matter if you are having work done; the clean after the work is an after builders clean, from £212.
Is there a minimum charge for a one-off clean?
One-off work in Camden starts at £67. Regular cleaning has no minimum charge; it is billed by the hour, with each visit lasting at least 3 hours.
Tell us the postcode and the size of the flat, and we will ring back with a date.
